THIRST FOR SPEED, NOT FUEL!

When you think of the supercar what comes to mind? A powerful motor, right? Righttttt!!! 0-60 mph  in less than 4s, right? Yes, Yes, Yes ... Top speed above 180 mph, right? All right! High gasoline consumption, right? Wrong! No to Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid.

The 918, as the name implies is a hybrid, that is, combines a V8 gasoline engine, in this case only 500 hp, with two electric motors that generate over 218 hp. Result, according to Porsche spent just over three liters of fuel per 60 miles.

The performance is promised top speed above 200 mph and 0-60 mph in around 3.2 s.

The most important is pollutant emissions fall dramatically. The promise is 70 g / km of CO2. To get an idea of the importance of this value, the Porsche 911 that emits the same CO2 is the Carrera with 212 g / km. In Europe in 2012, this limit is 120 g / km.

The nature and future generations will thanks!
